Violet Astor is a conservation artist who creates large and detailed charcoal drawings, combined with natural materials found in the environment of her subjects. Violet travels the world to collaborate with governments and conservation projects with the aim of raising awareness and funding to support the survival of endangered species.
This framed original of a Nubian Ibex is 92 x 72cm and created with charcoal and soil collected from Ibex territory in Dhofar.

Description
Violet Astor is a conservation artist who creates large and detailed charcoal drawings, combined with natural materials foraged from the environment of her subjects. Violet travels the world to collaborate with governments and conservation projects with the aim of raising awareness and funding to support the survival of endangered species. This framed original of a Nubian Ibex is 92 x 72 cm and was created with charcoal and soil collected from Ibex territory in Dhofar.
In 2019, Violet collaborated with the Ministry of Heritage and Culture and ESO to raise awareness about endangered species in Oman. The final piece from her successful ‘Wild Oman’ exhibition has been donated to ESO and is available to one lucky bidder.
